Currently seeking acreage that will be suitable for farm and home use!!!!
I am actively searching and are hopeful that I will find a tract as more

Still looking!!  I scour the new real estate guides as soon as they hit the shelves.  I also find myself driving the back roads of Putnam County looking for "the place" and hoping to find some out of the way jewel with a "For Sale" sign stuck right out front for me to see.

We've found a parcel of land that we're interested in.  Although it isn't quite as large a tract as I'd initially hoped to find, this parcel has plenty of potential to be the new home of a small equine rescue.  Keep your fingers crossed!!

**November 2007**
I closed late October on a home with acreage!!  We take possession of the home in mid-November.  This property was once used to run cattle - it is mostly fenced & already has an older barn in place.  There will have to be a lot of 'clean-up' work done (bush hogging, re-stretching fence, etc.) as the place is overgrown and in need of some maintenance work.  Lots of work ahead  to get ready for the rescue, but it's getting there.   Check back for further updates.  (PS - Please see the updated "Volunteer" page!)

**June 2008**
Where to begin?  The new house & acreage was in worse disrepair than initially thought.  The clean-up process seems to regularly reveal more work that will have to be done.  Diligent clearing & repairing of fences, property & barn  have kept us busy but pressing issues with the condition of the house have also demanded attention.  For all the things still to be done, noteworthy progress towards opening the rescue has been made, giving me a much needed second wind.
